February.....melt down...

It is February...Valentines day has come and gone....I can not wait for Spring...Lily likes the snow, but I do not.  With the sun comes melting of snow and with that means winter/spring clean up a job that I do not like and would love to not do it but alas that is not going to happen.  Lily was given a treat of a large knuckle bone yesterday and loves it and even brought it outside to chew on today...of course I brought it in the house in case it freezes and she/we won't be able to move it tomorrow...that is a good mom don't you think?  My Emma stone broke yesterday or I should say the clasp broke and she will be going to Jodi's on Thursday....to get checked over.  I can't believe how much I miss wearing her, and I wanted to get her other stone checked before I wear and possibly lose her.  Well Lily is now snoring and I am ready to sleep...I wish it was in a bed but that is not too be, someone day.  hugs to my friends and I will be thinking of all of you....Peace, Char and Lily

A New Year

Well it is 2011, and since this is a new year I hope it means a new body, health and fun times with Lily....snow snow snow....hopefully it will not come.....

well today has not been a good day for lily...she has a ?hot spot on her inner thigh....I don't ever think her under coat is ever going to leave her....I feel so bad for her....as I can tell she doesn't feel like herself....you come and brush and comb and brush and have buckets of hair and you still don't get it all...will it never end....this may be emma saying to me ...keep the hair coming and think of me...oh em's you are in my thoughts everyday....well lily we too shall get through this together.....love you my little one....mom

On June 9, 2010, I put my best friend, my Lily's Aunt down my Emma.....this was one of the worst days of my entire life.....Emma was such a dear soul and she will be missed so much....Emma was a wonderful Therapy dog and a National Animal Assisted Crisis Response dog.....Emma had traveled all over the United States making so many people feel better.....she would have been 9 today June 23, 2010...Lily's birthday is also today and she turned 5....Lily has had a rough two weeks...and finally tonight ate her dog food....she would eat treats but not really much dog food....Lily and I will make it...and Lily is proving to be a great Therapy Dog and Crisis Response dog herself.....just wait and see what we will do.....thanks to my friends....love you all....Char & Lily

A Very Muggy May Day...

This is when I wish I had a pool for the girls that they could in at there leisure...and a dryer as they walk out....only in a dream can one wish that....they have been in more than out due to the heat....and I am so glad that I have been home and able to do that....we will say that is one good thing about the back surgery....now if I could get Miss Emma to go through a doggie door into the house it would be Heaven...but the little one doesn't believe in doing the stairs to get back into the house and would rather walk around to the front....those are my girls and what can I say I even put indoor / outdoor carpeting in the kitchen and on the back steps to help her but NOT!!!   One of these days we will travel up to Manistee to a friends place on Lake Michigan so then they can play in the water and dry on off on the grass all they want and play with their friend Louie....and of course the humans Debbie and Larry...well I best get back to work which is sitting in the chair with my feet up....getting up for a walk about every hour....taking my pain pills when needed and drinking my water and diet coke....I can honestly say this is getting boring....I just want to start to feel like my old self and I would get a glimpse of it and then poof it is gone...thanks my friends....love to all....from char and her girls

Therapy dogs at work

Well it has all most been a week that I had surgery on my back....life is good being home with my girls 24/7...little do they know they have been working full time.....pay...a pig ear from franks and frosty paw at night....they have been so good too me and for me....I am enjoying each day with them and now I am thinking hmmmmm  do you think I can clean their pen...maybe not but we shall see...the sun is shining and and it not 40 degrees thank the Lord....well best get back to work ha ha....chat later...thanks to all my friends....

Emma & Lily

Well Emma had her second water therapy this week....ohhhhhh I don't know....she was really walking "sore" today....we are doing another acupuncture next week...and suppose to do another water treatment on monday....not sure about that.....lily and I have been practicing for retrieving the "bumper' she is doing pretty good with that...since I don't know what I am doing and she is learning from me....a person who is also just learning....more to follow....this is all on land right now...waiting for warmer water temps...ha ha ....well have a great Easter weekend my friends...and stay safe....
